St B Youth activities this week!
Be sure to say thanks to church members for supporting our Valentine's Day Dinner Fundraiser in a big way. We grossed over $500 and expect we will be able to support 6 year old Alexi in Honduras for many months based on your generosity. Incredible gratitude to the families who provided food for the event and helped out in the kitchen and to Ms. Cheryl, Ms. Nita and Kaitlyn Keen and Erin Jones for their help! We may have missed Sunday School preparing the meal last Sunday, but we had a living experience of being the hands and feet of Jesus instead. What a good kind of tired!
On Weds. Feb 16th, we will meet at 6pm for a brief devotional, final planning of our Winterjam trip and then attend Ash Weds. service together as a group. Families, please join us in the sanctuary at 6:30 for this service. If you cannot join us, please plan to pick up your youth after the service.
On Saturday, Feb 20 at 10:30, the youth will be making entries for the Church Chili Supper contest. Meet Mr. Bill in the Annex and be ready to create a tasty masterpiece. All ingredients will be provided. Then plan to attend the St B Chili supper with your family and friends at 6pm to see if our entry wins!
On Sunday, Feb. 21st, we will board the Hallelujah Chariot to the Sommet Center for the Winterjam 2010 Christian music event featuring Third Day, Newsboys, Newsong, Tenth Avenue North and Christian speaker Tony Nolan. Tickets are $10. Please get your $ to the Booths on Wednesday at Youth group or call them at 647-8725 if you will join us. Let them know soon to get your seat. We will leave the church at 2:30 and arrive back by 10:45p. Money will be needed for supper, and snacks/souvenirs.
There will be no Sunday Nite Live or Youth, Mom's or Funtime for Kids studies Sunday Feb 21st due to Winterjam. Everything resumes Feb 28th!
