Anne's Closet

Anne's Closet, which distributes food to needy families, needs peanut butter, jelly, Ramen Noodles, macaroni & cheese, canned fruit, vegetables, and other non-perishable food items.  This ministry has been very active due to the current economical situation. Anne's Closet is running very low right now.
Ann's Closet has for years been a very visible and helpful mission of support in our community.  Now, Ann's Closet is in need of our help.  For safety reasons, as well as declining donations, we may have to consider closing this wonderful mission.  Beginning the second Wednesday of May ( May 11th), we want to have Anne's Closet open from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. for person to come and get food.  One the fourth Wednesday, we want to be open from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M.  We are looking for volunteers for one or both times each month to be greeters and give food out.  We are encouraging 2 - 4 people to work during each time slot.  If you feel called to this ministry by helping with staffing and/or securing food stores for Ann's Closet, please call the St. B. Church office at (931)647-5126.

 Winter Oneness!
Winter 2012
On this First Sunday of Advent, our Church will begin a period of time during Winter that we will again share this Holy Season by all worshiping together at one service!  This is a very exciting period for our congregation.  It is a time to meet all the "new" Family Members that we have added to our fold in the past year and see our other family members who attend a service that you do not.  The following schedule will be in affect until further notice.
Sunday School at 9:00 A.M.
Worship Service at 10:00 A.M.

Your Church Family Waits for You at St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church

As we begin this New Year, may each of us resolve to show our appreciation for God's gift of our natural resources by increasing our recycling of plastic, cans and cardboard.  We are blessed with a new recycling structure by donations  and work by William Dever, Jr. and his Boy Scouts of America Troop.
You may bring:
Please empty and rinse all containers, remove all caps from containers as they are not
recyclable (soda pull-tabs can be removed and put into the container in the kitchen area).
Cardboard:  Remove all excess packing tape and emptly contents (like styrofoam packaging) and break down boxes, FLAT.

If you have a lot of materials to be recycled, you may with to carry your materials to a Convenience Center provided by the Bi-County Solid Waste Management.  You may visit the website at mcgtn.org/b-county.  Some of the schools in your area have recycling bins, Rossview and Barksdale Elem. are two in this area.  The schools receive funds when their containers are used.
If you have question about church recycling, please contact Emily Bellamy.
