St. Bethlehem Nursery School is part of the ministry of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church of Clarksville, TN. The Nursery School is an extension of the Church’s outreach with children and their families. The Nursery School is a qualified non-profit organization and is licensed by the State of Tennessee

 St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church Nursery School Statement of Purpose:

St. Bethlehem Nursery School provides an environment of flexible play experiences in a Christian atmosphere with an emphasis on social development.  

 Philosophy:

The educational philosophy of St. Bethlehem Nursery School is that children learn best through play and hands-on experiences. The Nursery School aims to provide an atmosphere of love and acceptance in which each child can develop socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually, intellectually and welcomes children of any race, religious belief or national heritage. Special needs children are accepted based on the Nursery School’s ability to meet their unique and individual requirements.

 

The Nursery school is open during the school year; running from August through May.  It serves children 6 weeks through 5 years, with a Nursery, a 2’s class, a 3’s class and a 4’s kindergarten readiness class. It operates from 9am until 2pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  It is open from 9-noon on Fridays.  It is closed Mondays. It does have early drop-off opportunities Tuesday through Friday.  It enrolls usually 50 to 60 children and serves around 45 families.  Its 2016/2017 school year will begin on Tuesday, August 16th.  Please contact the Nursery School Director, Georgia Dice, for enrollment information.  The school’s phone number is 931-647-0544.
